How To Speed Up Your Website

If your visitor complaint you that your website take a good amount of time to load in their browsers what will you do? If you are the owner of a server and need to speed up the website what will you do? You just ensure good system specification or ensure good internet connection…. But there is a free software from the search engine king google. Its name is “mod page speed”. It is developed totally for apache servers. Since it is from google you can trust. It is only server side software so no user need to install it.
Website owners can install it in their own servers or hosting companies can also do that in their servers. Its 100% free. You can download it for apache and other platforms from their official website. It will surely increase your page loading speed and the webpages will be available to the visitors in seconds. According to google, the images and other items like flash etc are compressed such that the page loading time can be reduced and the pages can be available in no time.
1) Visit http://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/ . There are many tools that can speed up your website. I recommend you to download mod_pagespeed for Apache and transfer it to your web server

To install the packages, on Debian/Ubuntu, please run (as root) the following command:
dpkg -i mod-pagespeed-*.deb
apt-get -f install
For CentOS/Fedora, please execute (also as root):
rpm -U mod-pagespeed-*.rpm
